Season of Rain. Stay Dry.

Post Image BMKG has predicted that some areas will be experiencing an earlier rainy season in September, October and November 2021.

Do not worry. TMD routinely cleans the sewerage, keep checking water pumps and increase its capacity, monitoring water level sensors, trimming the trees and other activities to ensure that we don’t get off guard when the downpour happens.

Do not let the rain come inside your house! There is still time to prepare. Here are some tips for you:

1.
Walk around your property to check if there are any trees that need to be trimmed or removed to eliminate the risk of falling and cause damage to your property.
2. Make sure the roof drain works perfectly and don’t forget to clean out dried out leaves and debris that fall on your roof gutter to prevent clogging.
3. Check also the water drains and sewerage around your property. Do not put waste or any rubbish into the sewerage in order that rainwater drain out smoothly.

It’s also important to keep your property area clean. Check the locations that usually have stagnant water to avoid mosquitoes breeding. Aside of COVID-19, another disease that need your attention is Dengue Fever.

The rainy season is one of the risk factors for the outbreak of dengue fever (DHF) in Indonesia since the season usually lasts for quite a long time. During the rainy season, dengue fever cases generally increase due to the large amount of standing water. Stagnant rainwater or even residual flood currents are the most ideal means for Aedes mosquitoes to lay eggs. Likewise, during the transition season (transition from dry to rainy season, or vice versa) when the ambient temperature makes it more humid.

Get ready and prepare now to stay dry when the rain comes!
