Minimize the Risks

Post Image In addition to the cleanliness of the sewerage and the possibility of a leaking roof, there are other things that residents must be aware of during the rainy season and that includes the tree condition in the resident’s area.

The existence of shady trees makes for a positive and beautiful impact on the landscape and can offer a special and soothing oasis. But tall trees where the branches are either too thick or already bent too low can also be dangerous. Rain accompanied by strong winds can cause these branches to break or even trees to fall.

Do a routine check and if necessary, start trimming the tree you have planted. In addition of safety, pruning trees also needs to be done so that the tree can grow beautifully. Constant care will also increase the surrounding air flow that is healthy and improves the quality of fruit or flowers produced.

Remember, trimming does not mean cutting down the whole tree, but simply removing some parts of the plant for a healthy growth. Do it regularly when the tree is still young. However if a big tree is trimmed incorrectly, it could have a more serious impact. Minimize the risks.

TMD routinely checks and trims trees in public areas and around the residential areas, but trees inside the individual’s property areas are the responsibility of residents. When you are doubtful when is the right time to trim your trees, please contact the TMD Call Center at (021) 55 777 557 and our environmental officer will be ready to help and provide you with valuable advise.

Let’s keep our landscape green and beautiful!
