Post Image You love to have a pet. You may be owning a dog now. Do you love enough to take care of them? How can you be a responsible pet owner? These are questions that must be answered before you pick that lovable and cute dog from a pet shop or shelter. Can you be a responsible pet lover?

It takes commitment and lots of caring to have a pet. You need to make sure that are healthy and won’t be a risk to your family and neighbours. Train them. Free them of rabies. Feed them well. Wash them. And look after their waste.

The highest complaint for pet owners in Lippo Village is the large number of dogs which are allowed to poop anywhere and are handled carelessly. As a pet lover and dog owner, there are certain responsibilities and duties to take care of your pet. Take them out to play and walk and when the dogs poop especially outside your home, you are obliged to clear all the poop from your dog. If you clear the dirt within your yard, it is a public responsibility to do the same in public places, streets, roads, in front of your neighbours yard, playgrounds, and areas where you take them for a walk. Please instruct your household staff if they are in charge of walking your dog. They must be made aware of the disturbance they cause to your community if they don’t clean up after your dog!

Why your dog poop have to be cleaned?
  1. Comfort and cleanliness : it is very uncomfortable to be forced to see, smell it and even if you accidentally step on it!
  2. Health : Poisonous dog poop, not only harmful to you and your family, but collectively can pollute the environment and groundwater. Instead of being a fertilizer for plants, dog faeces can cause unsightly discoloration of the grass and interfere the plant growth.  Do you know – one gram of dog poop can contain 23 million fecal coliform bacteria, which are known to cause diarrhea, intestinal diseases and serious kidney disorders in human

Be responsible and tolerant!

What should you do to maintain cleanliness and avoid the spread of disease?
  1. Lift your dog’s poop using a small scoop and put it in a paper/ plastic bag, tie it up and discard it. It only takes a few moments.
  2. Teach your household staff or anyone who walk your dog to do this.

Let’s help us to maintain the cleanliness of your living environment and break the chain of diseases spreading. It’s always better to prevent than regret later.

NOTE : TMD will hold free rabies vaccination for your pets (dog & cat) on Saturday, 03 November 2018 from 9AM to 3PM. Spare your time and bring your pets to Maxx Box Lippo Village.
