Trim your Trees. Reduce Risks during Extreme Weather.

Post Image The existence of shady trees makes a beautiful impact on landscape. It can also offer a special and soothing oasis. However, be careful with the tall trees where the branches are either too thick or already bent too low. Rain accompanied by strong winds can cause these branches to break or trees to fall.

TMD have a routine program to check and trim each tree in the public areas and around the residential area. But, you have to maintain your own trees inside your property. It’s your responsibility and you must be aware of the trees condition. You need to check and if necessary, trim the tree you have planted. Routine trimming can increase the surrounding air flow which is healthy and improves the quality of flowers or fruit produced. Do it regularly since the day you planted the tree!

Please note that tree trimming does not mean cutting down the whole tree, but only removing some parts of the plant growth to make it healthier. Watch out, when the big trees are trimmed incorrectly, it could have a more serious and adverse impact.

TMD has provided several communal garden waste areas in some locations within each cluster, where you can dispose your green waste. However, the communal garden waste can only accommodate a limited amount of garden waste. If you have an excessive amount of leftover tree cuttings and place within your property or verges area, TMD will help to take it out at a reasonable charge to the resident and reflected in next month’s IPKL.

Keep your trees beautifully trimmed!
