Organising a Function in Your Home

Post Image Your home is a private property, but you are living in a neighborhood with many people and for sure with many different needs.

If you want to arrange a function at home with more than 10 guests, coming in more than 5 vehicles or if you are using a sound system, please inform TMD at the latest 7 days prior to the schedule by filling in the online form: https://bit.ly/TMDLV-IzinAcara or via Customer Service TMD. If it is necessary residents should obtain a permit from the authority.

Why is it important to coordinate with TMD:
• Coordinate with Security if you want to bring any materials into your house i.e. tents and catering. Security will not give access without the TMD’s permit.
• Coordinate with Emergency officers, Customer Service and Call Center officers that an event is being held according to the schedule submitted, in order that any queries from the neighbours related to the event will be responded to promptly.

What residents need to be concerned:
1. Inform your neighbours about the event, so they can anticipate or choose another way to pass.
2. The number of the guests should be adjusted with the house area.
3. All event activities must be held within your property area only, including the tent (if any).
4. Event must be held no earlier than 8 AM and no later than 10 PM.
5. Traffic flow must not be disturbed. Hence, no road closures or tents on the street will be allowed.
6. Parking of guest’s vehicles must not hinder or disturb the access of other residents in the area.
7. If you need additional power supply, it is recommended to use a silent generator. The location of the generator placement should not disturb other residents by its smoke or smell.
8. The sound of the sound system (if any) must not disturb your neighbours.
9. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the surrounding area during the event and after the event.
10. During the Covid-19 pandemic, health and safety protocols must be observed. TMD shall inform you of the special regulations in effect during this time.

What happens if your event does not conform to the regulations?
The event rejection notice will be sent to your email. Please do not hold any event that has been rejected in your property area.

TMD has the right to prohibit and/or disband all activities without prior information, including securing and asking the official authorities to handle if the function can cause ethnic, racial and inter-group (SARA) conflicts, political activities, and/or activities that are prohibited by applicable regulations and/or which can interfere with decency, propriety and public use.

Understand the regulations on functions in your home for a smooth and enjoyable event for your guests, at the same time, preserving the peace and quiet of your neighbourhood.
