Post Image Lately, we have been facing higher temperatures than the previous months. Rain has become rare these days and now we can enjoy the sun.

While we’re enjoying ourselves sunbathing, especially during this pandemic that many have advised to do for your health, it's also important to stay safe. The hot season presents a new set of problem and we have received reports that there are small wildfires that have already happened outside of our town. Let us not let it happen here. Prevent wildfires from happening.

Here’s what you can do to stay safe during this hot weather.

Fire Safety Advice

Most fires could easily light up in the hot and dry day, you have to be aware of the following:

While enjoying your walk around Lippo Village, please refrain from smoking and discarding cigarette butts on the landscaped area to prevent a chance to light up a fire on dried leaves, branches or barks during this hot and dry weather. Take your litter home and never ever throw cigarette ends out of car windows. Let’s maintain the cleanliness and safety.
Don't leave bottles or glass in open areas - sunlight shining through glass can start fires (take them home and recycle them).
Do not fill your fuel tank completely full during hot weather. It has to have room to expand.
Be careful when you have a barbecue, better use an electrical barbecue grill and choose the suitable and safe area for barbecue. Never leave it unattended.
If you see a fire around your house or its surrounding in Lippo Village area, please call our 24 Hours’ Emergency at 0800 1900 911 and ask for the fire and rescue service. Even a small fire can very soon become a big fire and get out of control. Do not attempt to tackle fires that can’t be put out with a bucket of water. Leave the area as quickly as possible.TMD has a Fire brigade Department who are on standby 24/7 and will give fast response when called. Report it immediately as you can save someone’s life.

Keeping you and your family safe and protected is important. Be aware and stay alert while you’re enjoying the sunshine.
