An Easy and Simple Way to Grow Herbs

Post Image There’s nothing better than fresh herbs, however they’re not always available during the entire year. You can get them dried but they can never be the same as the fresh one as they sometimes lack in flavour and nutrients.

Have you tried growing herbs indoors? This can be right time to start while staying at home.

Check the following easy steps to grow your own herbs:
1) Take a clipping of herb of your choice about 6-8 inches, make sure you include the stem and not just the leaf.
2) Place in a small to medium sized glass jar, and fill it with water. Change the water once a week or so.
3) Place herb in water-filled jar in a place where it can get 6 hours of sunlight (like a window sill). You can put 3-4 cuttings in one jar, but as they grow, they will need more space.
4) When leaves are fully grown, clip them off to encourage more growth from the herb.

What kind of herbs can you grow in the water? Have a look and start with one or two for your favorite dishes or even for a home-grown tea:

1) Mint
2) Basil
3) Cilantro
4) Oregano
5) Rosemary
6) Thyme
7) Sage
8) Chives

It is really that simple and having fresh herbs all year long brings a lot of benefits. Green lively herbs can beautify your home and you can skip having to buy those dried herbs from the store.

Fresh is best! Taste the difference.
