Banten Governor, Dr. H. Wahidin Halim has announced that the implementation of large-scale social restrictions in Greater Tangerang, including Tangerang City, Tangerang District and South Tangerang.

The PSBB takes effect on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

The implementation of the PSBB in Banten takes into consideration that it borders directly with Jakarta and that 70 percent of Covid-19 cases have been identified in Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) area where Banten now has the third-largest number of Covid-19 cases in Indonesia after Jakarta and West Java. West Java itself implemented the PSBB on 15 April 2020 followed by Jakarta which already enacted the PSBB on 10 April 2020.

TMD have been intensifying the efforts to prevent and slow the spread of Covid-19 in Lippo Village. Health and safety protocols have been implemented in each cluster such as equipping each security post with good health equipment, spraying disinfectant repeatedly, limiting access of residents in one cluster to another cluster, temporary hold on renovation and new building application, temporary stop of GrabWheels operations and suspension of all Lippo Village Shuttle Bus services as well as keeping everyone informed about the serious threat of Covid-19 virus.
