Building or renovating your home can be worry-free. There are simple measures to follow once your application has been approved by TMD Building Control. Regulations are in place for your convenience and for the benefit of all. They are meant to maintain harmony in our neighbourhood. Think of your neighbours and how your building activities may affect them. They would do the same when it is their turn. Act neighbourly!

A key factor is always to think clean! Clean up your surroundings during the work for the comfort of your neighbours.

Here are basic guidelines to follow before and during your building or renovation activity:
1. Build a green fence around the project area, if you are building a new home, to keep your materials safe and in good order.
2. Place all the materials inside a container within your lot. It is not allowed to place it on the roadside, on the street nor the green area.
3. Do not mix cement on the roadside or on the street. Use a plywood board base if you were to mix cement in your premises or driveway.
4. The working hours for your project workers are from Monday to Saturday, starting from 8 AM to 5 PM. Work on Sunday and public holidays are not permitted. No workers can stay overnight at the project area. Workers must leave Lippo Village after 5 PM.

While the project is progressing or on its finishing stage, there might be remaining debris or materials around. What do you need to do with it?

1. Similar to the building materials, all remaining debris are not allowed to be placed outside your property boundary, an empty lot around, your neighbor’s empty houses or verges.
2. If you place it at the front Garis Sepadan Bangunan (GSB) area or the verges in front of the unit, all must be put in the sack and brought out of Lippo Village within the maximum 2 x 24 hours’ time limit.
3. Please contact TMD Call Center at (021) 55 777 557 if you need assistance from the TMD Environment Services. We can arrange for the debris removal at a reasonable price.

Building a new home or renovating your existing home is an exciting time for you and your family. Prepare your plan properly and complete all plans before applying to TMD Building Control for a smooth process. Observe the TMD Rules and Regulations on New Build or Renovation.
