There are still questions from residents about their garden waste and how it should be collected. Our Call Center also reported that there have been complaints why the garden waste has not been collected from the resident’s house.
In 2018, TMD Environmental Team implemented the communal garden and yard waste bins within your residential areas, in line with TMD’s Green Initiative to separate garden waste from household waste.
Please look out for these locations and inform your household staff so that are made aware of the communal bins and follow ‘green practices’ to ensure a better environment for us all.
Here’s how to identify your garbage trucks:
• Yellow truck – operated by designated government collectors comes around daily to collect household waste from your homes.
•
White truck – operated by TMD Environmental Team collects garden waste from the communal landscaping bin. Familiarize yourself on the location of the communal bin nearest you.
How to use the communal landscaping bins :
1) Cut the branches waste no more than 1 meter and place it in neat bundles. Place it within the communal landscape location boundary.
2) Leaf waste should be placed inside a sack to keep it spreading or being thrown away due to wind or rain.
3) Do not dispose of any other type of waste within this area, such as furniture, electronics, food scraps or any other waste that may attract stray animals or cause environmental pollution.
4) Your garden waste will be collected two times a week for Lippo Village North and Lippo Village Central and once a week for Lippo Village West. For the collection schedule in your area, please contact our Call Center at (021) 557 77 557.
Bring your garden waste into this area by yourself or let your household staff how to do it properly.
TMD will not collect the garden waste from your premises or if not placed properly in the designated area.
Be part of our drive to be ‘Clean and Green’! Your support will go a long way towards our vision of Lippo Village being the healthiest and safest neighbourhood.
