Construction Holidays. No Work Allowed

Post Image What does this mean? During the holidays, construction, renovation or any building work will not be permitted in the residential area.

Why is this? Have you experienced a neighbour having workers hammering or drilling when you are enjoying a holiday gathering with your family and friends? If you have, surely, you do not want to plan for any work in your home either and rush to complete your building activity.

You may still continue the work but please do check with your contractors before you continue the work during this holiday season because we have limited working hours.

Construction working hours are permitted from Monday to Saturday, from 8 AM to 5 PM only. No work is allowed during Sundays and Public Holidays. No workers are allowed to stay on the building site overnight. All workers have to leave immediately after 5 PM.

For the end of year holidays, please note that the dates of 24 to 25 December 2019 and 31 December 2019 to 1 January 2020, there will be no work on-site allowed. This would include a stop to TMD public works or building projects and any other building, renovation or fit out work by residents in their houses.

Please make a note for these important dates of No Work Allowed.

Be considerate to your neighbours. Help keep your surroundings safe and secure.

Observing the town’s rules and regulations make for a better and more harmonious community. Be tolerant to one another and respect other’s right to enjoy the holiday season.

Act neigbourly. Bring about harmony in your community.
