Most times during the hot season we tend to run our air-conditioning units (AC) for many hours during the day and night, perhaps even non-stop!
We tend to forget that A/Cs need extra care to make them last longer and operating efficiently.
It is very important to have clean air circulating for our health and well-being. Small children and the elderly who spends longer hours indoors tend to be more at risk to respiratory problems. According to experts, mildew, mould and dust particles can be stored in your AC units and if not regularly well maintained, it could be dispersing those nasty dust particles into the air you’re breathing in. When your filter becomes too clogged, you might actually be blocking cool air from entering your room. Cleaning the ACs filters can keep the temperature cool and ensure the air is circulating and it will filter out the dust consisting of germs and bacteria. And therefore, regular maintenance of the AC units is necessary.
How many times should I clean my A/C units?
Performing routine check and washing of your AC units every three (3) months is required so that all components can work properly in the best condition. Small cleaning can be done as often as every two weeks. Your family’s health is very important and well-maintained AC units will last longer.
