Camerata Indonesia, Capriccioso Children's Choir, together with UPH Cello Ensemble held an OCEANS Concert on 12 May 2019 at University of Pelita Harapan, Building D. Dynaplast and Chitose became as main sponsors for this concert. Proceeds from the concert go to non-profit groups namely, Livingseas Jakarta and Beach Clean Up Jakarta.

A brief talk on recycling program was presented, followed by many fabulous music and songs. Bryant Gozali was guest cello along with Camerata Indonesia. Their performance of The Sea Knows’ by Michael Kurek under the direction of conductor, Vincent Wiguna, was outstanding. Jonathan William Abraham together with UPH Cello Ensemble presented the work of Tchaikovsky and awed the audience who excitedly kept applauding throughout the performance. The children's performances from Suzuki Music Association of Indonesia and the Capriccioso Children's Choir under the direction of Fidella Graine's took the second round of this concert. The program closed with the song 'Under The Sea' which was performed by all the participating performers.

A presentation by Jakarta Livingseas and Beach Clean Up Jakarta impressed on the audience the importance of maintaining the marine ecosystems by reducing the use of plastic.

Having trained thousands of divers in the best practices of diving technique and serving hundreds of divers in each of our communities in Singapore and Jakarta, Livingseas is the most emulated dive center in the region and well known for producing highly trained divers. Whilst the Beach Clean Up Jakarta is a community that contains volunteers who work together in cleaning up garbage along the coast in Jakarta, because of their concern about the threat of plastic waste in Indonesia.

This collaboration between Livingseas and Beach Clean Up Jakarta is a wonderful example of what two forward thinking organizations can do to protect our oceans. Thank you to the partners for their commitment and support to the Oceans Concert.
