Earth Hour

by / Friday, 15 March 2019 /
Post Image Earth Hour has become a huge global event and aims to create awareness and getting people to take a larger responsibility towards a sustainable future. Every year the number of people and countries joining the campaign is increasing which shows that more people share the same concern about this planet and global warming. The Earth Hour movement is about giving people a voice on the planet’s future and working together to create a sustainable earth. Anyone can take part in this campaign.

Earth Hour gatherings are being held around the world with concerned citizens hosting parties or earth hour events lighting up candles and at times in darkness. Switching off for 60 minutes offers a chance to slow down, relax, talk and feel the beauty of our earth.

Join TMD for Earth Hour and save power for just 60 minutes!
Switch off on Saturday, March 30, 2019
Let’s do it from 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Last year, commercial buildings and offices including retail stores switched off their lights for 60 minutes and saved 673,512W. This is equivalent to power distribution for 748 houses in the village. An hour is not going to save the world - but it can be a message that every action counts and that individuals can make genuine change to the way we think about human impact on the planet. Being human is about so much more than just consuming so carelessly. When we all come together, we have the power to change the world.

In conjunction with our Saturday Village Walk on 30 March 2019, TMD with Earth Hour Tangerang will open a booth at Benton Junction from 6 AM to 8.30 AM to share the information and knowledge on Earth Hour, how to save energy, workshop on how to make a recycled bag from your old shirt (please bring your scissor and old shirts), games and many more. Bring your children and have fun while learning and enjoying sports and physical exercises to stay fit.
