LiVe Green in Lippo Village, Keeping Your Garbage Bins Clean

Post Image Keeping garbage bins clean and odorless is a must for the health and hygiene of every household.
Bins that are left open or damaged with cracks can attract pests such as mice, flies and even cats trying to find food and this can spread disease. It is therefore necessary to teach our household staff to keep the bins in good condition and how to use it properly.

Here are some tips:
  1. Wash and clean the bin after it has been emptied by garbage collectors.
  2. Always keep the bin in dry condition, by putting the household waste tightly tied in plastic bags and keep the lid closed at all times.
  3. Put out the bin with the written address in the front area of the house after 7 pm before collection time the next day. Do not leave bins in your front yard after trash has been collected. Put it away at the side of your home and only put out for scheduled garbage collection.
  4. Replace the damaged bin with the same type and color according to TMD’s standard bin. Please contact TMD at (021) 55 777 557 for information on bin replacement and applicable charges.
Currently, TMD has made several communal landscaping bins in several locations within the residential area, to help residents separate garden waste and household waste.

Here’s how to use the communal garden waste area:
  1. Place pieces of branches within the communal landscape location boundary. Ensure that branches are cut no more than 1 meter and should be placed in neat bundles.
  2. Leaf litter should be placed inside a sack to prevent it from spreading due to wind.
  3. Do not dispose any other types of waste such as food scraps, furniture, electronics and any other waste that may attract stray animals or cause environmental pollution.
  4. Garden waste will be collected once a week by TMD.

A clean and healthy environment is important for life. Be part of it and LiVe Green!
